Motorola Confirms Fall Arrival For Moto G5S And GS5 Plus Mid-Range Android Phones

Motorola announced the flagship Moto Z2 Force last month, infusing the smartphone with a Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB RAM, dual cameras and a Moto Mods support. However, it also came with a $700+ price tag. For those that aren’t prepared to hand over seven stacks for a smartphone, Motorola has officially announced the Moto G5S and G5S Plus.

As we’ve previously reported, the Moto G5S comes with a premium aluminum unibody design and will be powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core processor. Your window into the Android operating system come via a 5.2-inch Full HD display, while you’ll be able to capture what’s going on in the real word with a 16MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing selfie camera (complete with LED flash).

The Moto G5S is equipped with a 3,000 mAh battery, which Motorola claims will last all day long, and can be recharged using TurboPower. TurboPower can reclaim 5 hours of battery life with just a 15-minute charge.

If you want something a bit flashier, there’s the Moto G5S Plus, which ups the stakes with a dual 13MP rear cameras and an 8MP selfie camera with LED flash. The processor also receives an upgrade, moving up to a 2GHz octa-core unit (which we’re assuming is the Snapdragon 625). The screen size jumps to 5.5 inches and retains a Full HD resolution. Battery capacity also remains at 3,000 mAh, while TurboPower will get you to from 0 percent to 6 hours of battery life in 15 minutes.

The Moto G5S and G5S Plus will first launch in Europe later this month with price tags of 249 and 299 EUR respectively. Those of us in the United States, however, will have to wait until later this fall to get our hands on the phones. U.S. pricing will be available closer to launch.
