AMD Radeon RX Vega Air And Liquid Cooled Edition Graphics Cards Break Cover At SIGGRAPH

We are out at SIGGRAPH learning about AMD’s upcoming Radeon RX Vega GPUs and Ryzen Threadripper processors at the moment. We will have many more details to share with you tomorrow evening after AMD’s Capsaicin Event, but the company is allowing pictures of the Radeon RX Vega to be posted right away, so we thought we’d share them with you all.

Raja Koduri With The Radeon RX Vega Liquid Cooled Edition

What we have here are pictures of two Radeon RX Vega cards – the liquid and air cooled editions. Raja Koduri, Senior Vice President and Chief Architect of the Radeon Technologies Group, is holding the liquid-cooled Radeon RX Vega. The configuration is similar to the Radeon R9 Fury X, with a closed-loop liquid cooling solution, with braided tubing, and 120mm fan / radiator assembly, etc.

The other card is the air-cooled Radeon RX Vega limited edition model, with brushed metal shroud and matching back-plate. As you can see in the pictures, the card features a similar display output configuration to current Polaris-based cards (3 x DisplayPort, 1 x HDMI), with a vented case bracket that has perforations of varying sizes.

The card also features a pair of 8-pin PCI Express power connectors and additional decorative venting on the back-plate. Other than the pictures, however, we don’t have much more to share. Rest assured, more news is coming – soon. More disclosures will be revealed tomorrow evening and full reviews are in the works as well.
