EVGA Unveils GeForce GTX 1080 TI K|NGP|N Killer Graphics Card With iCX And Hydro Copper Waterblock

Gamers and overclockers looking for a new NVIDIA-based graphics card have something new to lust over from EVGA. The new video card is the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti K|NGP|N edition. Sure, that name doesn't exactly roll off the tongue, but the performance is there in spades. The GTX 1080 Ti K|NGP|N edition currently holds multiple single video card world records in benchmarks with a 3DMark Time Spy record of 14,219 and a 3DMark Fire Strike Extreme world record of 19,361.

The video card also grabbed world records in UNIGINE Superposition with a score of 8,642 and in 3DMark Fire Strike scoring 31,770. To support that kind of performance, EVGA used its iCX Technology that brings a new and efficient heat-pipe layout to the card and edge-plated PCB for better cooling. The card is guaranteed to a 2,025 MHz overclock.

Other features include high-efficiency digital VRM and a dual-slot profile. If you are building a system that has less space than a dual-slot card can fit into, the GTX 1080 Ti K|NGP|N edition is single slot capable with an optional Hydro copper waterblock. EVGA knows what a difficult time you can have cramming full size video cards into your computer chassis and has taken measures to make builds easier with a design supporting cable management and control with right-angle PCI-E connectors and an EVBOT connector.

EVGA also designed the video card with good looks so if you are building a gaming rig in a windowed case the PC will look as good as it performs. Nine different thermal sensors help the overclocked card stay cool and the trio of fans on the standard card utilize Async fan control.

The GTX 1080 Ti K|NGP|N edition has 3,584 CUDA cores and a core base clock of 1,582 MHz and a boost clock of 1,695 MHz. As you would expect, the card has 11GB GDDR5X with a memory clock of 11GHz; overall memory bandwidth is 484 GB/s. Unfortunately, EVGA hasn't yet offered up pricing or availability details.
