HP's Refreshed Pavilion Family Includes All-in-Ones With Ultra-Thin Bezels And Colorful x360 Convertibles
Starting things off is the Pavilion x360, which has previously only been available in 11.6-inch and 13.3-inch form-factors. HP obviously sees the customer appeal of this design with a larger display, so the company is introducing new 15.6-inch screen size. HP says that this new generation of Pavilion x360s are 12 to 14 percent thinner than their predecessors and lighter at the same time. The 11.6- and 13.3-inch models start at 2.93 pounds and 3.48 pounds respectively, while the new 15.6-inch model tips the scales at 5.07 pounds.
Skylake processors are on tap for the Pavilion x360 range including Intel Celerons at the low-end and Core i7 processors at the top (and everything in between). Up to 16GB of memory and up to a 512GB SSD are supported and HP says the convertibles can run for up to nine hours and fifteen minutes per charge.
The 11.6-, 13.3- and 15.6-inch Pavilion x360s are priced from $380 (May 15th), $480 (May 29th), and $580 (May 25th) respectively and will be available in Natural Silver, Modern Gold, Dragonfly Blue, Cardinal Red and Sport Purple.
If you prefer a traditional laptop without the additional complexity that comes with a convertible, HP has also updated its standard Pavilion range. 14-inch (3.3 pounds) and 15.6-inch (4.26 pounds) models make the rounds with designs that are 11 to 22 percent thinner than last year’s lineup. Customers that require more screen real estate can also opt for the larger 17.3-inch variant.
Up to an Intel Core i7 processor (or a quad-core AMD A12-9700P processor), 16GB of memory and a 512GB SSD are supported. You can also opt for a dual storage setup which allows you to augment the SSD with up to a 2TB HDD. If integrated graphics aren’t up to your standards, NVIDIA GeForce 940MX, GTX 950M and GTX 960M can be optioned on Intel models. Those that opt for AMD power can select from Radeon R7 graphics.
The 14-, 15.6- and 17.3-inch Pavilion notebooks are priced at $540 (June 12th), $580 (May 18th) and $900 (May 18th) respectively. Like the Pavilion x360, the Pavilion notebooks are available in a wide array of colors including Natural Silver, Modern Gold, Blizzard White, Onyx Black, Cardinal Red, Dragonfly Blue and Sport Purple.
Moving on to the desktop side of things, HP has two new all-in-ones in 23.8- and 27-inch form-factors. Edge-to-edge displays are standard, and a new micro edge display is optional which further reduces the bezel by 75 percent. The all-in-ones can be equipped with Full HD and Quad HD screen resolutions and your choice of AMD (up to an A10) or Intel processors (up to a Core i7). 1TB of storage comes standard, while 3TB and 1TB SSHD options are available. HP is also offering its Privacy Camera which supports face authentication with Windows Hello.
The 23.8” diagonal HP Pavilion All-in-One starts from $700 and will be available July 10th, while the 27-inch model starts from $1,000 and will be available July 3rd.
