MAINGEAR RUSH Gaming Desktop Flaunts Tempered Glass Panels, Promotes ‘Grown-Up Gaming’

MAINGEAR sure does know how to make an entrance; look no further than its brand new RUSH gaming PC, which the systems integrator says embodies “grown-up” gaming. MAINGEAR piles on the platitudes, proclaiming, “The RUSH is the James Bond of gaming desktops. It is lethal, resourceful and powerful, but elegant, cool and collected.”

I’m not so certain that James Bond would enjoy rocking neon accents with his tuxedo, but I digress.  The RUSH features what MAINGEAR calls “unparalleled craftsmanship,” built using 4mm thick brushed aluminum for the exterior and server-grade steel for the inner chassis. But perhaps the most striking feature of the RUSH is its 5mm thick, tinted tempered glass panels which flank both sides of the tower case. In addition, a single master craftsman assembled each RUSH in New Jersey.

The RUSH definitely has the looks, but can it back it up with performance and configurability? The base system comes with an MSI Z170 PC Mate motherboard, 3.5GHz Intel Core i5 6600k processor with MAINGEAR EPIC 120 Supercooler, 8GB HyperX FURY DDR4-2666 memory, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 GPU, 750W EVGA SuperNOVA 80 Plus Certified PSU, 250GB Samsung 850 EVO SSD, 2TB Seagate Barracuda HDD, and Windows 10 Home. All of that comes with a price tag of $1,999, although you tinker to your heart’s content to balloon the price from there.

The most expensive preconfigured system, the $5,739 Stage 4: Superstock X99, features an ASUS X99-A motherboard, 3.3GHz Intel Core i7 5820K processor, 16GB HyperX FURY DDR4 2666 memory, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 GPU, 1200 Watt Corsair Professional Digital Series AX1200i PSU, 250GB Samsung 850 EVO SSD, and Windows 10 Home.

Decked out systems can be configured with up to three GeForce GTX Titan X or Radeon R9 Fury X GPUs, six drive bays, NVMe SSDs and up to 64GB of RAM.

“The RUSH perfectly complements its gaming prowess with a stunning design guaranteed to turn heads,” said MAINGEAR founder and CEO Wallace Santos.  “We pride in delivering the best designs and craftsmanship in the industry and the RUSH perfectly showcases it.”
