Chrome 30 Adds 'Search By Image' and Chrome for Android Gestures

At this rate, we're going to be on the 500th iteration of Chrome by the end of next year. All kidding aside, the pace of innovation in the browser world is just incredible, with the Chrome making near-weekly updates to further tweak, smooth-out, and enhance the browsing experience. Chrome 30 just hit the stable channel, and as you'd expect, plenty of new tidbits are in tow. Starting this week, all Chrome users will be able to search by image and Chrome for Android users get some new gestures to quickly navigate open tabs and access the menu.

In Chrome for Android, you'll be able to swipe horizontally across the top toolbar to quickly switch tabs; drag vertically down from the toolbar to enter into the tab switcher view; and drag down from the menu to open the menu and select the item you want without having to lift your finger. These updates to Chrome for desktop and Android will be rolling out to all users over the next few days, so while you may not see the updates right away, hopefully you can exercise a bit of patience in the interim.
