Don’t be fooled by the form factor and your initial impressions -- what we have before us is not a typical smartphone. Well, technically we suppose it is, but the experience is not intended to replace your commonplace iPhone, Galaxy S, or other handset. In fact, you should not even consider running to your nearest wireless carrier to pick one up. No, instead HP is billing the Elite x3 as a corporate device flexible enough to eliminate company-issued laptops and workstations for many users. This sounds like quite a tall order. Certainly, many professionals do rely on powerful number crunching machines.... Read more...
After a few delays that put the flagship Windows 10 Mobile flagship behind schedule, the Hewlett-Packard Elite x3 is finally available for customers to purchase. Starting this week, Microsoft opened up sales for the powerful smartphone via the Microsoft Store. Given the laundry list of features that are included with the Elite x3, this is by far the most powerful and versatile Windows 10 Mobile device released to date. Just look at its feature set, which wouldn’t be out of place on a flagship Android device: 5.96-inch WQHD AMOLED display Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor 4GB RAM 64GB internal storage... If you’ve been itchin’ to get your fingers on Hewlett-Packard’s brand new Elite X3 Windows 10 Mobile flagship, you’re going to have to wait a little while longer. According to the product listing on the Microsoft Store, the shipping date for the Elite X3 has been delayed two weeks to September 16th. The Elite X3 is by far the most powerful and feature-packed Windows 10 Mobile device to be released to the market. It’s also the most expensive, ringing in at $699 by itself and $799 with the Desk Dock bundle. For example, Microsoft’s flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 810-powered Lumia 950 XL is priced at... If you’ve been itchin' to get your hands on Hewlett-Packard’s flagship Elite x3 Windows 10 Mobile smartphone, the wait is going to be just a bit longer — two weeks longer in fact. HP originally stated that the smartphone would ship on August 29th, however, the company is now revising that date to September 12th. This is according to a new listing via the Microsoft Store, which is only offering the Elite x3 with the bundled Desk Dock. This brings the total price of the bundle to $799 (the phone costs $699 without the dock direct from HP). Like Microsoft’s Display Dock for the Lumia 950 and Lumia... Read more...
Over the weekend, pricing for Hewlett-Packard’s Elite X3 Windows 10 Mobile smartphone leaked onto the web. The smartphone was listed at $799, which is a princely sum for a Windows 10 Mobile device. However, HP clarified things this morning with official pricing for the Elite X3. The $799 price tag is for the Elite X3 smartphone paired with the Desk Dock. If you just want the smartphone by itself, the price is a more palatable $699. However, even at $699, that’s still a lot of money for a flagship Windows 10 Mobile device. For comparison, Microsoft’s Lumia 950 XL launched late last year for $649... Read more...
Remember the Elite X3 phablet HP revealed at Computex earlier this year? It looked like a promising handset, albeit one that's based on an operating system that's struggling to grab any kind of meaningful market share (Windows 10 Mobile). The stylish Elite X3 with its large size 5.96-inch QWHD AMOLED display seem poised to make a splash, only HP may be pricing it out of contention. For a brief period, the Elite X3 made an appearance on HP's online storefront in the U.S. where it was listed for—brace yourself—$799! Phew, it's a good thing HP didn't decide to charge a dollar more, because $800 seems... Read more...
Hewlett-Packard officially announced its monstrous Elite X3 phablet back in February, well ahead of expected summer launch date. That long gap between announcement and release was both a curse and blessing — eager Windows Phone fans that wanted to get their hands on the device had to wait months to purchase it, but it also gave HP more time to make some tweaks and add features to the smartphone. We’re happy to inform you that it appears that the production version of the Elite X3 will now come with a rear-mounted fingerprint reader, making it the first Windows 10 Mobile device to come from the... Hewlett-Packard was almost able to make it to MWC 2016 without its badass Elite x3 leaking for all to see, but it wasn’t meant to be. Late last week, images of the smartphone leaked onto the web along with its full spec sheet. The good news is, the images and the specs were accurate, which means that the Elite x3 is a powerhouse flagship that can easily go toe-to-toe with the best Android and iOS flagships out there. HP’s return to the mobile sector is truly a remarkable one, as the Elite x3 is just a small piece of a truly expansive Windows 10 experience that touches phablet, desktop and laptop... Read more...
"Gentleman, you had my curiosity, but now you have my attention.” We first heard word that Hewlett-Packard was looking to get back into the smartphone game with a Windows 10 Mobile device back in late December. Codenamed “Falcon,” we were only greeted with some GFXBench results and accompanying specs for the device and little more. However, a Hungarian site has actually uncovered images of HP’s Windows 10 Mobile smartphone prototype, and it’s called the Elite X3. We must say, this is one sleek looking device thanks to its plastic and metal construction and the groovy speaker cutouts below the massive... Read more...
