A few years ago, a lot of iPhone users were frustrated by Apple's refusal to allow apps into the App Store that duplicated the efforts of apps that were built into iOS. Thankfully, Apple has bent a bit on that over the years, and while there's still no good way to remove the Stocks app from your device, and still no great third-party solution... Read more...
The iPad 2 will get some ergonomic tweaks, according to a report in a Japanese tech blog, MacOtakara. The report cites an anonymous Chinese source, which could mean a worker at one of Foxconn's plants. The report states that the screen size of the iPad 2 will remain the same, which is logical since Steve Jobs famously... Read more...

There are plenty of applications and websites that can translate text to other languages, but if you're looking at a sign or something, you'll have to type it into a translation app. What if, instead, you could take a snapshot and have an app translate the text in the image? That's the idea behind Word Lens, and it seems to work. The caveat... Read more...

As far as iOS releases go, this is just about as big as they come. Not since the iPhone OS revision that introduced Apple's App Store to the original iPhone has there been a buzz surrounding one of Apple's iOS releases, and for good reason. Much in the same way that Android 2.2 had significant impact on the path of Android's future, iOS 4.2... Read more...

An 11-year old by the name of Dino Zaharakis is making a lot of news this week, and we suspect it's just the start of what will end up being a nice design career. The kid has apparently (with the help of his faimly, we're guessing) designed a new dock that can be used to hold the iPhone, Kindle or almost any other portable/handheld gadget,... Read more...

That's according to DigiTimes, which managed to extract quite a... Read more...

A week ago today we posted an article examining the so-called "Apple Tax" and whether or not it exists.
