Wi-Fi Tips, Radeon Xpress 200M, Mushkin DDR2 and More!

Good morning all.  Time for your morning news to start your day off right.  The Mushkin 1GB PC2-4200 looks like a sweet set of RAM and if you're a Wi-Fi user, the Tech Zone has some useful security tips.  Let's get things rolling!

Wi-Fi Hotspot Security Tips @ The Tech Zone:

"You've set up your Boingo account, you're hanging out at the Home Turf sports bar in LAX and you figure you'll do a little business or check your e-mail while sipping a Chardonnay. Well, that's the point of Wi-Fi hotspots; being able to take care of a few things while in a relaxing atmosphere. Don't, however, get so relaxed that you ignore security and give all your confidential information to some unscrupulous hacker."

ATI's Radeon Xpress 200M @ HEXUS.net:

"Today sees ATI's announcment of the Radeon Xpress200M chipset, a mobile chipset for AMD systems. So, what does that bring mobile AMD users? Well, there's PCI-Express support for starters, along with support for Athlon, Sempron and the upcoming mobile Turion 64 processor. Add to that an onboard DirectX 9 PCIe graphics solution and there's promise of a very appealing mobile chipset."

Mushkin 1GB PC2-4200 (533) Dual Pack CL 3-2-2 @ OCTools.com:

"Overclocking wise, how can we complain? These Mushkin modules were able to take us up to DDR2-640MHz at tight timings of CL 3-2-2-6 and up to DDR2-750MHz at its most relaxed timing. That's 217MHz over its rated speed. You get a headroom that is sure to handle even the most extreme overclock while running at the tightest possible timings. And with the cost of PC4200 modules getting cheaper by the day, the Mushkin 1GB PC2-4200 (533) Dual Pack is a great buy no matter where you look at it."

Hauppauge MediaMVP Review @ I4U News:

"The MediaMVP is a low-cost media streaming device, that runs Linux on an IBM PowerPC CPU. With the new Software update the device can stream DivX video besides MPEG2 and MPEG1 video. The MediaMVP decodes MPEG-2 natively on its hardware, which frees up the PC and streaming does not use much resources. A completely different situation is with DivX encoded videos."
