Ubisoft Announces Far Cry 4 Coming This November On Console And PC

It turns out the scuttlebutt from back in March is true: Ubisoft announced that Far Cry 4 is coming this November for consoles and PCs. It will be out on November 18th in the U.S. and November 20th in EMEA, and it will be available on the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Windows PCs.

“Pack away your tropical gear, because Far Cry 4 is heading to the Himalayas,” wrote Ubisoft’s Gary Steinman in a blog post. “Taking a sharp turn away from the lush island jungles of the top-rated Far Cry 3, Far Cry 4 is set in Kyrat, an untamed region currently ruled by a despotic self-appointed king. But don’t be lulled into a false sense of security by the achingly beautiful views; Kyrat is a wild land full of perils.”

Players will have to take on all obstacles with a wide assortment of weapons and vehicles in an open world map. More details about the new title will be coming in the next few months, so there’s no confirmation yet that you will indeed get to ride an elephant. (Here’s hoping.)

Wild man Hurk is back in three single-player missions in the Far Cry 4 Limited Edition, which you can get for free (along with his Impaler harpoon gun) when you preorder.
