T-Mobile to Sell myTouch 3G Slider on June 2

Not ready to drop $529 on a Nexus One? We don't blame you, and nor do you have to in you're in the market for a new Android-based phone through T-Mobile. The wireless carrier said its myTouch 3G Slide smartphone will go on sale June 2 for $180 after rebate with a two-year service agreement.

Like Microsoft's KIN phones, the myTouch 3G Slide is being marketed to a younger audience as a way "to keep you crazy-close to friends and family." Werd up, y0.

Built around Google's Android 2.1 platform, the slider phone sports a physical QWERTY keyboard that's sure to delight text-happy teens (and adults). It also comes with a 3.5-inch touchscreen, a 5MP camera with autofocus and flash, 8GB microSD card, and Swype software pre-installed for faster and more accurate typing.
