T-Mobile Slashes Flagship LG G4 Off-Contract Price To $480 Until July 31

With all the hoopla surrounding Apple's flagship iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus devices and Samsung responding with the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, you may have forgotten about the G4 from LG. Even with slightly newer smartphones on the market, the G4 is right there among the top Android smartphones, and if you're rolling with T-Mobile, you can score one for $480 for a limited time.

T-Mobile has temporarily dropped the price, slashing $120 off its normal retail cost of $600. That's still a hefty sum to pay all at once, though if you have good to excellent credit, you can snag it for no money down and $19.99 per month for 24 months. If you're "building credit," as T-Mobile labels it, you'll have to fork over a $264 down payment, which knocks the monthly bill down to $8.99/month (also for 24 months).

The price cut alone makes the deal an tantalizing proposition, though it's not the only selling point. T-Mobile will also throw in a second battery with charging cradle and a limited edition leather back cover, while supplies last, of course.

In case you really have forgotten about the G4, let's refresh your memory (also be sure to check out our review). It rocks a 5.5-inch quad HD (2560x1440) display with Gorilla Glass 3, 64-bit six-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC with Adreno 418 graphics, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of built-in storage, 8MP front-facing camera, 16MP rear-facing camera, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, 3,000 mAh battery, and Android 5.1 Lollipop.

T-Mobile's special offer is good until July 31, 2015.
