Sprint Begins Jelly Bean Rollout For Galaxy S III Customers

Sprint is the first wireless carrier in the US to offer the Android 4.1.1. Jelly Bean update to Galaxy S III customers. With the update, users will get new and enhanced TouchWiz features as well as the expanded functionality of Jelly Bean. You'll also get new widget functionality that will automatically rearrange or resize items on a home screen to make room for new widgets.

In addition to Jelly Bean, Samsung is including a few updates and new features of its own. The camera on the Galaxy S III now has new filters as well as a low light photo mode that takes advantage of the phone's HDR capabilities. You can also pause and resume while recording video. The Pop Up Play feature received an update that lets you resize or pause the picture-in-picture video window.

For first-time smartphone owners, Samsung has included an Easy Mode with the Galaxy S III. The update also comes with a blocking mode that can disable incoming calls, notifications, alarms and LED indicators.

The Jelly Bean update also brings support for some new accessories to the Galaxy S III including support for AllShare Cast Wireless Hub and NFC One Touch Pairing Support.
