HP Refreshes Envy 14, Releases Mini 210 and Pavilion dv4 Notebooks
As part of a major notebook expansion, the gamer-centric HP Envy 14 is seeing an update. While the exterior is basically the same, the machine now features second-generation Intel Core processors, USB 3.0 ports and a new HP imagepad that relies on image sensor technology for "Advanced Gesture Support." You'll also find an etched alloy case, a 14.5" LCD, Beats Audio, and HP's SimplePass for secure logins. The refreshed Envy 14 is expected to go on sale on June 14th, with a starting price of $999.99.
If you need something a little smaller, the HP Mini 210 is being updated on the netbook front. It still weighs under 3lbs. and less than 1" thick, and a battery that'll last up to 9.5 hours. It also features QuickWeb 3.0, which has a customizable widget dashboard and syncs to Windows bookmarks. It'll ship starting June 15th in the U.S. for $299.99.
Finally, the Pavilion dv4 features improved HP CoolSense technology, a 14" LCD, a sub-5lb. chassis and two HP Imprint color options (espresso black and pacific blue). This one's shipping on May 18th for $599.99.
