New GeForce 7 GPU's Coming?
NGOHQ has been told from a supposedly reliable source that NVIDIA will soon be launching several new additions to the GeForce 7 family of GPU's. Here, the source lists a GeForce 7900 GS, GeForce 7600 GTX, GeForce 7600 LE, and GeForce 7300 LE as the upcoming models. It will certainly be interesting to see what sort of price tag is associated with these new models as both the GeForce 7900 GS and GeForce 7600 GTX could turn out to be exceptional overclockers and "should" be offered at a very reasonable cost. The moment we receive formal word from NVIDIA, we'll pass the good word along to you.
GeForce 7900 GS
According to our source, Nvidia is planning to extend the 7900 family with a GS member. Like the other GS products, it will be a bit slower then the GT. We still don't know if it will be released to the AGP market like the 7800GS or to PCI Express.
GeForce 7600 GTX
I've been very surprised to hear about a GTX version of the 7600 series. Nvidia did very well with their 6600 series, and it seems that the new successor, the 7600 will get its own GTX version. As it sounds, we guess it will be faster then the 7600 GT.
