Motorola Reveals 4G LTE USB WWAN Modem
The company just announced at 4G World 2010 their new FDD LTE USB-lte 7110 device for delivery of personalized mobile broadband experiences, including real-time multimedia applications. That's a fancy way to say that this is their first 4G LTE USB modem that has been on display to the public. It's designed to work on next-gen LTE networks in order to deliver HD video streaming, video blogging and the ability to quickly upload video onto social networking sites. The new USB device will also be made available for interoperability testing with non-Motorola LTE networks worldwide.
Motorola isn't saying what carrier (if any) in America will get this, and they aren't talking pricing. This is mainly just a forward look at what's to come, but it's great to know that at least Motorola is onboard to support our never-ending desire for faster speeds while on the go.
