Ideal Price/Performance GPU?
Fudo and the gang at the Inquirer are reporting this morning that NVIDIA's upcoming GeForce 7900GT will be the ideal price/performance GPU for the coming months. Supposedly offering the same performance as the current GeForce 7800 GTX 256MB for a surprising $299, the GeForce 7900GT will surely be a popular GPU should this prove to be true. Given the 90u core, it would not be all that surprising to hear of some healthy overclocks from the factory that should provide even more impressive results.
The performance of 7900 GT might be as high as 7800 GTX as the card is clocked 10 MHz higher and has the same number of pipelines.
