HTC One A9 Ships With Android Marshmallow, Renders And Specs Leaked By Orange France

We've said it before and we'll it again, it's insanely difficult to keep a secret in this day and age of the Internet. Think about the last time there was a product launch without a leak beforehand. It happens on occasion, though more often than not, the Internet provides an early glimpse of what's to come. Today the Internet is sharing what look to be official press renderings of HTC's forthcoming One A9 handset, plus a spattering of specs.

Though HTC hasn't officially announced its One A9 phone, Orange France let the cat out of the bag by inadvertently posting live a product page for the handset. Oops! The page has since been yanked offline, though not before the Internet community at large was able to extract the content, including both photos and specs.

HTC One A9

According to Orange France's brief listing, the HTC One A9 will sport the following:

  • 5-inch 1080p AMOLED display
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 SoC
  • 16GB of built-in storage + microSD card slot
  • 2GB or RAM
  • 4MP front-facing camera
  • 13MP rear-facing camera with OIS BSI sensor
  • Fingerprint reader
  • Android 6.0 Marshmallow

The listing also revealed a metal construction with a profile that measures about 7mm thin. And just as we saw in a previous leak that showed a dummy phone (non-functioning unit for display purposes), press renderings of the One A9 bear a strong resemblance to Apple's iPhone 4 device.

Orange France had the price listed at €599.90 off contract, which works out to around $680 in U.S. currency.
