Dell 27" LCD Coming in January...

DigiTimes reports that Dell has just signed a contract with Samsung to deliver a 27-inch widescreen LCD which will then be branded as a Dell model. Although details of the exact model is not yet known, DigiTimes assumes the model in question will be similar to a unit which is already being offered. The Samsung LTM270M1 is equipped with a resolution of 1920x1200 with a 6ms response time, contrast ratio of 3000:1, and a brightness of 500 nits. One can only hope that the upcoming model raises the bar in each category and adds such features as HDCP support and possibly even an HDMI port. Regardless, time will tell as we only need to wait until January to see what tricks Dell has up its sleeve.
