Corsair Tweaks GS Series Power Supply Line, Achieves 80 Plus Bronze Certification

If it's been awhile since you last glanced Corsair's GS Series power supply line, you may want to give it a second look. Now new and improved, Corsair enhanced the GS Series family with a more energy efficient design, earning an 80 Plus Bronze certification in the process. In addition, Corsair claims the redesigned PSUs provide quieter, fanless operation at low power loads.

"The GS Series line has been popular with PC enthusiasts who demand quiet, good-looking, and affordable power supplies they can count on," said Ruben Mookerjee, VP and General Manager for Components at Corsair. "Now we are proud to deliver the next evolution in the GS Series PSU line, with higher-levels of energy efficiency and a new striking, customizable industrial design."

Corsair's GS Series is available in three flavors, including GS600 (600 watts), GS700 (700 watts), and GS800 (yep, 800 watts). All three models features "class-leading voltage stability and ultra-low ripple and noise specifications," up to 85 percent energy efficiency, and a 140mm temperature controlled fan with user-switchable red, white, and blue LED lights (can be turned off as well).
