Just in time for the holidays, Coby Electronics announced a budget-friendly tablet, the COBY KYROS MID7015. This 7-inch tablet is powered by Android 2.1 and features 4GB of internal flash memory as well as a microSD expansion slot. Like other tablets, you'll be able to surf the Web, organize your life, watch movies, and much more on the KYROS MID7015. The KYROS tablet also comes with Aldiko E-book and AppsLib, an app store. On the technical side, the KYROS MID7015 features an 800MHz Telechips TTC8902 processor, 256MB DDR2 of RAM, and a screen resolution of 800x480. The tablet retails for $249.99.

The new unit allows users to wirelessly access the Internet through high-speed networking support and features more than a dozen built-in applications, each identified with a different icon. Among the included apps are an alarm clock, browser for surfing the web, calculator, calendar, email, gallery for viewing and playing movies, music and video player to watch the latest Internet videos and more. In addition, the COBY KYROS Tablet offers two unique apps, Aldiko E-book for downloading and reading thousands of e-books, and AppsLib for browsing, downloading and installing apps.
The Aldiko E-book app enables users to download and read a wide assortment of books, from free classics to original new releases. Bookmark and search functions let consumers customize the font, size and spacing of the book’s text. Through AppsLib, consumers can download free and paid apps to play games, check the weather, listen to the radio and more. Technical features of the COBY KYROS Tablet MID7015 include a Telechips TTC8902 processor that operates at 800MHz and offers 256MB DDR2 of RAM. The 7.0-inch TFT LCD screen offers 800x480 resolution and includes a high-speed HDMI, type C (mini) video output that supports 1080p and 720p allowing users to enjoy crisp, clear movies anywhere. The unit also includes a 3.5mm headphone and built-in speaker and a USB 2.0 high-speed PC interface as well as a rechargeable Li-poly battery and power adapter.
