Clear Debuts Three New WiMAX Products For High-Speed Mobile Surfing
The company already has a few WWAN modems and mobile routers on the market, but they have yet to reveal a 4G/3G dual-mode modem that's compatible with OS X, and of course, having more options for surfing at 4G is always a good thing. The CLEAR Spot 4G, CLEAR Spot 4G+ and CLEAR 4G+ Mobile USB stick are all-new for the company, though the middle unit is little more than a re-branded Sprint Overdrive. The "4G+" units are even more useful, as they'll hop onto Sprint's wider 3G network if you depart from a 4G service zone. The last device is a tiny USB product that brings both 3G and 4G support to Mac OS X (along with Windows), while the CLEAR Spot 4G is little more than a 4G-enabled MiFi.
Full pricing details are listed below, with each product set to go on sale nationwide in July.
