BenQ Gets Serious about Gaming, Launches LX2410 120Hz Monitor

It appears an epiphany went and hit BenQ upside its head, and that is if it wants to "lead and become a true and professional gaming monitor provider," BenQ has to "understand the mindset and needs of gamers." Those are BenQ's words, not ours, though we fully agree -- the way it works in business, it typically helps to understand the consumers you're trying to sell product to.

BenQ has a bigger point there than just a Business 101 message. They've gone and released their newest display, the 23.6-inch LED Gaming Monitor XL2410T, which was co-developed by ZOWIE, a professional Gaming gear manufacturer.

Featuring a 120Hz refresh rate and quick 2ms GTG (OverDrive) response time, BenQ promises lag won't rear it's ugly head. The XL2410T is also 3D-ready and comes with Picture by Picture (PBP), a special set of "Gaming Display Modes," 10,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, and a pair of hotkeys, one for changing the display mode and the other for Smart Scaling.

The XL2410T will start shipping early next month in Europe, with a worldwide release to follow. No word yet on price.

From BenQ’s Gaming Display Modes options, users can choose from FPS Mode, made possible by co-working with the gaming heroes -HeatoN and Spawn as the best setting for personal shooting games, or from the two User Game modes for more dedicated and personalized settings.

For extreme entertainment, XL2410T is the LED monitor to go for. 3D-ready (NVIDIA 3D Vision certified); Picture by Picture (PBP); connectivity values (D-sub; DVI-D-DL, HDMI) and height adjustment feature are offered for users’ enjoyment and comfort.
