Archos Reveals New 'Elements' Tablet Line, Including 97 Carbon

Archos has long since been the king of low-cost tablets, and now the company is introducing a new range entirely: Elements. It's an entry-level family with 7", 8" and 9.7" options, all of which have full access to Google Play and Google apps. The new 97 Carbon weighs just 21.8 ounces and measures 0.45" thick. There's an IPS capacitive touch panel, as well as a 1GHz CPU, 1GB of RAM and Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It's expected to ship this month for $229.99 to $249.99; you may say that the Nexus 7 is cheaper, but this does have a larger 9.7" screen for those interested.

There's no word yet on what the components within the smaller units will use, nor what resolution the screens will boast.
