Apple Issues VoiceOver Kit 1.0.1 For New Shuffle

It hasn't even been a full month since Apple launched the first iPod Shuffle with speech capabilities, and already the diminutive player is seeing its first software update. Announced late in the day on Friday, the VoiceOver Kit 1.0.1 (which bumps things up from 1.0.0) is the first update for both the player and its talking capabilities.

The download weighs in at 17MB, and while a full blown changelog isn't provided (trust us, that's typical of Apple), we are told that it contains "pronunciations for several artist names and fixes a few minor bugs." For those unaware, this applies only to Apple's newest Shuffle, which is the first iPod that can actually speak to its owner. It has the ability to break down artist and track names and read them back -- something that's mighty useful considering that dearth of a display on the device itself.

Has anyone noticed any other significant (or minor, for that matter) changes after applying the update?
