Kyle got his hands on some slides that detail some of the features and technology going into AMD's upcoming quad-core processors. If you were thinking AMD was just going to "glue" together two Athlon 64 X2 dies, think again. IPC improvements, a shared L3 cache, and new clock gating technologies are all planned according to the slides.
