Android devices will soon be the latest to get a free application that gives customers the ability to read over 540,000 Kindle books. Amazon currently offers similar Kindle apps for the iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, Mac, PC, and BlackBerry. Like other Kindle apps, Kindle for Android will offer Amazon's Whispersync technology, which will save and synchronize your bookmarks across Kindle, Kindle DX, iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, PC, Mac, and BlackBerry devices.The Kindle for Android application will be available sometime this summer.
