Amazon Celebrates Four Years Of Appstore By Giving Away $105 Worth Of Apps

Typically when celebrating a birthday, you bring gifts to the one that just turned another year older. Not so with Amazon -- the online retailer's Appstore for Android turned four years old this week, and to celebrate the occasion, Amazon is temporarily giving away 34 apps and games worth a combined $105. These aren't junk titles, either.

There are some real gems that are up for grabs, such as World of Goo, typically a $5 app and worth every penny, and Kingdom Rush Origins, a highly addictive tower defense game that normally goes for a buck.

Here's a look at the full list:

As you can see, there are some pricey titles there approaching $10, along with several others that are around $2 or more.

Bear in mind that you need to install the Amazon Appstore app on your smartphone in order to download and install these apps. It's a little inconvenient juggling multiple app stores, but hey, you can't argue with the price!

The freebie promotion runs until March 21. To take advantage of it, click any of the titles linked above or go here.
