YouTube Announces Live Streaming Feature For Verified Accounts

YouTube has been gradually allowing more and more users (which is to say, those with a certain number of followers) use a new livestreaming capability, and today that feature begins rolling out to all YouTube users.

In order to access the ability to livestream, you must verify your account with Google and must be a user in good standing. “Good standing” means that you can’t have any Community Guidelines violations, no videos blocked by Content ID, and no copyright strikes.

Users will see the Live Events feature pop up soon on their Video Manager pages. Further, you’ll now be able to launch a Google+ Hangout on Air from the YouTube Live event manager, too.

YouTube has always been a powerful way for people to get their voices heard, and the service continues to evolve. Giving livestreaming abilities to everyone makes YouTube even more valuable.
