Samsung Announces WB100 Camera with 26X Zoom Lens

If you're the type of photographer who likes to get up and close with your subjects, you'll be interested to know Samsung just unveiled its WB100 digital camera. The WB100 is the latest addition to Samsung's WB Series and it boasts a generous 26X Optical High Zoom lens, along with a 22.3mm ultra-wide angle to help squeeze more detail into those memorable moments captured on camera.

It also has Dual Image Stabilization (OIS + DIS), 720p video recording, 3D photo capture, a Live Panorama Mode, ISO 80 to 1,600 sensitivity (or up to 3,200 for 3-megapixel photos), and a 16-megapixel sensor.

"Not only does the WB100 deliver superior quality images but it is also easy to use. Its easily-navigated menu screen makes it a versatile camera, designed to capture clear and beautiful photos with ease," Samsung says. "Available in Black or Red, it is a stylish camera with a range of creative features including Smart Filter and Magic Frame, designed to enhance image quality along with the shooting experience. The soft hand grip combined with the metallic design gives it a sleek and seamless look."

Sounds like a possible winner, only Samsung didn't reveal any MSRP information or say when it will be available to purchase. Minor details, right?
