Microsoft Bringing Store-Within-A-Store Demo Areas To Best Buy Locations

Best Buy has not had the rosiest of times in recent memory. Sales are lagging, profits are slumping, and one has to wonder if brick-and-mortar electronics stores really have a future in a world ruled by things like NewEgg and Amazon. So, what's a company to do? Pair up with someone else. Microsoft has this week announced a strategic partnership to create the Windows Store only at Best Buy, a comprehensive store-within-a-store in 500 Best Buy locations across the United States and more than 100 Best Buy and Future Shop locations in Canada.

The stores within Best Buy will range in size from 1,500 square feet to 2,200 square feet and will allow consumers to see, try, compare and purchase a range of products and accessories, including Windows tablets and PCs, Windows Phones, Microsoft Office, Xbox and more.

Looking for a demo but aren't near a Windows Store? Now you know to try Best Buy, too.
