MSI Rolls Out GTX 680 Twin Frozr OC Edition Graphics Card

MSI's latest high-end graphics card is one cool customer, or at least it's supposed to be. The newly launched GTX 680 Twin Frozer /OC graphics card is a top end Kepler card that's been factory overclocked and custom cooled with MSI's popular Twin Frozr III heatsink/fan combination. According to MSI, the custom cooled graphics card runs 22C cooler under full load than reference GeForce GTX 680 videocards and 10.2dB quieter to boot. It's a two-birds-one-stone sort of thing.

In case you need a refresher, MSI's Twin Frozr III cooler uses proprietary Propeller Blade technology with special grooves, arched edges, a gloss coating, and other design cues that, according to MSI, increase airflow by 20 percent compared to conventional coolers.

Underneath the supercharged hood is a GTX 680 GPU clocked at 1058MHz with a Boost Clock of 1124MHz, compared to 1006MHz and 1058MHz on reference cards. The memory stands pat at 6008MHz, just like regular GTX 680 videocards.

Other features include high quality solid capacitors, support for MSI's Afterburner overclocking utility, two DVI outputs, HDMI, and a DisplayPort.
