MSI Introduces CR420 Notebook With Intel Wireless Display

There's almost nothing better than a good product getting better, but that's the case with MSI's revised CR420. It's a member of the company's "Classic" notebook series, boasting an understated design and a 14" screen, but the new fellow has something that few other laptops on the market today have: Intel's Wireless Display.

The new CR420 is powered by Intel's Core series of processors and enjoys MSI's own cross-hatch color film print coating. It's lightweight (2.2kg), has a chiclet keyboard, a flush trackpad and beveled edges. The base model has a Core i5 up to 4GB of DDR3 memory, Intel's HD integrated graphics, an HDMI output, VGA output, 250/320/500GB hard drive, a DVD Super-Multi drive, a pair of USB 2.0 drives, eSATA/USB port, 4-in-1 card reader, ExpressCard slot, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 and a 1.3MP webcam.

There's also a 6-cell Li-ion battery and built-in Ethernet, but no mention yet of price. We're guessing the WiDi inclusion will edge the MSRP up a bit compared to the standard CR notebooks, but that cordless setup may well be worth the extra to you.
