Halo: The Master Chief Collection Now Available To Pre-Order, Halo Franchise Tops 60 Million Copies Sold

Good news for you Halo fans -- and there are a lot of you, based on previous sales -- you can now pre-order Halo: The Master Chief Collection in disc or digital form for $60. There are various rewards to be had, depending on where you place your pre-order. For example, pre-ordering through GameStop gets you the Bandana Skull (unlimited ammo and grenades), while going through Best Buy earns you $10 in Reward Certificates.

Ready for a reality check on quickly time flies? It's been 13 years since the release of Halo: Combat Evolved, and 10 years since the release of Halo 2. During that time, over 60 million copies of Halo games have been sold around the world, resulting in more than 6 billion hours of gameplay on Xbox Live.

"Now, on November 11, the seminal first-person shooter saga gets the deluxe Xbox One treatment with the release of Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Celebrating three generations of the franchise and giving both new and longtime Halo fans the chance to experience all of the action on one consoles, this will kick off a new era in the Halo universe," Microsoft announced in a blog post.

Included in the collection is the entire Master Chief saga:
  • Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary
  • Halo 2: Anniversary
  • Halo 3
  • Halo 4
  • Halo: Nightfall (Digital Series)
  • Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta

That's a total of 45 campaign missions and more than 100 multiplayer and Spartan Ops maps to get your Halo fix. According to Microsoft, they've been remastered and revamped for the Xbox One.
