CyberPower Overhauls Black Mamba Gaming PC: Starts At $3800

CyberPower isn't resting on its laurels here at the beginning of the new year, as it has taken the opportunity to upgrade a rig that it originally announced back in June of '09. The Black Mamba gaming PC was already a force to be reckoned with, and now it has been completely redesigned as to give the Fang Series a new look. The chassis is new, a custom water-cooling option has been added and DirectX 11-capable hardware has been added.

Corsair's Obsidian 800D chassis is now encasing the innards, while the Xtreme Hydro custom cooling kit keeps things cool when the gaming heats up. You'll also find Intel's new Core i7 Extreme CPU running them, while a special BIOS enables improved overclocking. As for the GPU, you'll find a pair of ATI Radeon 5870s, and the integrated Blu-ray player ensures that the latest movies can be played back. Other specifications include a 2TB SATA II hard drive (for storage), a pair of 64GB Kingston SSDs (in a RAID-0 array for bootup), a bundled Razer Lachesis and Lycosa keyboard/mouse, a 12-in-1 multi-card reader and Windows 7 (64-bit).

As you can probably tell from those specifications, the MSRP on this beast isn't small. Nowhere near it. The rig starts at $3800, and it can be ordered/customized starting today. If you've made a New Year's Resolution to game harder and stronger in 2010, picking this up may be a good start to keeping good on it.

Providing the graphics processing power is a pair of ATI’s highly touted Radeon 5870 graphics cards, which  deliver DirectX 11 gaming experience. Black Mamba peripheral and storage includes a Blu-Ray DVD player and DVD burner. A 2 terabyte SATA II hard drive and a pair of RAID-0 ready 64 GB Kingston Solid State Drives give you blazing fast loading times.
