Albatron FX5700P, Swiftech Liquid Cooling, Shuttle XPC and More

Good morning friends :)  Things around the HH labs have been humming with activity over the past few days.  With our newest member of the HH Crew, Rudy, firing up his first review and our other members preparing to unleash their reviews, this week is going to be a busy one.  But you know us, the busier we are, the happier ;)

Albatron FX5700P Turbo Video Card @ LAN Addict

"So, after all of the testing and overclocking and game playing I've done with Albatron's FX5700P Turbo, what do I think of it? Well, I think it's a damn fine card! It'll overclock past 5700 Ultra core speeds with relative ease and it comes with some pretty decent memory. The RAM sinks are a nice touch, as is the fairly substantial GPU heatsink. Add to that the fact that it does not need an external power connection and you've got yourself a winner!"

Swiftech H2O-8600 Liquid Cooling Kit @ Systemcooling

"There are a couple of ways to go about outfitting your computer for water cooling. One is to cruise the forums like those here at Systemcooling and get opinions on the best water block, pump, radiator etc. Then you have to go to the various sites to order. Another way is to find a reputable manufacturer who can provide everything you need in a pre-designed kit. Swiftech has provided us with a sample of the latter, their new H2O-8600 Liquid Cooling Kit. As a semi-newb to water cooling, I'll give you an idea of just how easy it is to set this kit up and just how well it does at keeping a system cool. Bring on the water!"

Shuttle XPC SB61G2 v3.0 review @ Hexus.net

"It's a tidy, polished implementation of a well trodden concept, with the odd rough edge here and there.  But nobody else does a Pentium 4 SFF box quite like Shuttle, with the SB61G2 v3.0 one of the best.  A price of just under £200 inc VAT in the UK should see good sales. Recommended if a P4 XPC is what you're after and you don't fancy splashing out on the RefleXion or an SB75."

Samsung 910T 19 Inch LCD Monitor @ GamePC

"Today at the GamePC Labs, we've taken a look at a new 19 inch LCD screen from Samsung, the 910T. The 910T is designed as a follow-up to their successful 191-series, but boasts many of the same features, such as a 1280 x 1024 native resolution, 25ms pixel refresh rate, and portrait/landscape support. The new model boasts an updated design, an 800:1 contrast ratio, and a smaller price tag, which most will appreciate."

LG Super Multi DVD Writer GSA-4082B review @ HardwareZoom

"The drive is rated at 32X for CD and 12X for DVD - those are not overstatements, except that 12X DVD-ROM read is only achievable with single-layer, non-recordable discs - like many other drives. Dual layer discs and recordable discs are handled at 8X. Overall, we don't have much complaint about the 4082B reading performance; there is also no noticeable lag during layer transition while watching a dual-layer DVD-Video, probably due to the drive 2MB buffer and Windows XP's disc access cache."

asetek vapochill LS vs nVentiv Mach II GT @ XtremeResources

"The first unit I acquired was the nVentiv Mach II GT. The GT arrived looking great, I was impressed with the overall quality. First impressions are that it is a normal Nventiv Mach II. But it has more to meet the eye under the hood. The GT has had some internal modifications to the capillary tube and refrigerant. The refrigerant is upgraded to 404a versus the factory normal r134a that all the other nVentiv models come with."

Time for me to get back to work.  Check back later, I am sure more goodies are on the way ;) - Cheers
