Update 3/9/2017 - Our full review of the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, with copious benchmarks, is live here!

If there's one thing that gets the average, self-respecting Tech-geek jazzed, it's the smell of fresh, new PC gaming hardware in the morning. As such, along with your morning dose of caffeinated something-or-other, we're here to unbox the all new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. The GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is NVIDIA's new flagship GPU for hardcore gamers that actually sports slightly more gaming horsepower than the mighty Titan X (minus a smallish 1GB of GDDR5X memory), but sells for almost half the price at $699 (Titan X MSRP stands at $1200). And so, if you weren't looking forward to giving-up your right arm, along with a not entirely critical organ, this new plank of potent Pascal pixel-punching power will at least allow you to hang on to your extremities, while still maintaining bragging rights of what should be the fastest 4K gaming performance on the planet currently.

3584 CUDA cores, 11GB of new, higher-speed 11,000MHz Micron GDDR5X memory, 11.4 TFLOPs of peak compute throughput - say hello to our little friend that will be lighting-up test benches in the HH lab this week. We can't share performance specifics with you yet, but we sure can fondle the goods and even power this gaming juggernaut up, which is exactly what we'll do for you, right here...

In our first impressions with respect to the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti's performance, we are, shall we say, "tickled pink," or is that green maybe? Either way, there are a lot more tests to run still and the new GTX 1080 Ti is just getting warmed-up.

We should also offer a hat-tip to our friends at EVGA for the stellar new X99 platform motherboard we're using as the foundation of one of our test beds. With copious full-length PEG slots, support for M.2 PCIe SSDs, USB-C and an on-board Killer Networking gaming NIC, the EVGA X99 FTW K is just what doctor ordered for properly feeding the beast...

Intel's Core i7 5960X, a little Corsair Hydro Series H90 self-contained liquid cooling and we are dancing through the benchmark gauntlet here with the greatest of ease.

What do you want to see NVIDIA's new GeForce GTX 1080 Ti tested with for game titles? What should we match this new Team Green masterpiece up against? And don't even think about "will it blend?" Sound off in the comments below with your requests. We'll see what we can conjure for you in the next few days before embargo lift...
