Well it's been a very long time indeed since I have been here and active. I have a spanky new x99 rig (pics and specs to follow soon) and I have already added all my gear back to the good old HotHardware Folding@home team. Since I noticed that I'm the only one to put up a work unit for the team in who knows how long I'm guessing that most of the folks here are new now days and probably don't even know there is a HotHardware Folding@home team. The team number is 32407 and it's all for a good cause. Who knows maybe I can talk the higher-ups to help me get some competitiveness going again for our F@H team and give us a little folding forum loving. If your wondering what I'm on about I will gladly post some links. Help me put out team back together.

That's some nice hardware. What did you upgrade from? I recently got back to Folding and WCG too.

My old setup was a c2q6600@ 4.2 with 8g of ram and a gtx260 . It was the rig in my sig. That rig was built in 2008 and I still haven't put it to pasture. It now has a r480 and is back to folding also. I try to get as much mileage from my machines as I can.

That's impressive how long it last. My main rig with a Core i7 980X @4Ghz has been with me since 2009. I recently got some new SSD, Ram, and a nice Asus ROG Strix RX480 and it's back for some gaming action. It's watercooled so that might help, but it did fold for months non-stop.

That rig folded 24/7 for many years before I had some family issues that took me away from my beloved hobby.
