Im trying to build a Matx/Mitx minimal gaming pc on about a 150-175 budget. Any thoughts on how to accomplish one capable of playing Dota 2 decently? Looking for recommendations on way to keep it cheap and maybe some deals if you see some.

Not sure if you can do it for $150-200 but those Intel NUC computers with a Core iX CPU can definitely handle DOTA @ 1080p resolutions. Problem is even a Core i3 version of the Intel NUC computers will cost @ least $350 with RAM and a small SSD. I suppose with an older CPU you could do it for $150-175. i did see this on Newegg - http://www.newegg.com/Pr...x?ItemList=Combo.2750536 good deal, I'm not 100% sure on the CPU.

The only way this would be possible is if you or he has spare parts laying around such as the case, powersupply, and harddrive. A good AMD APU like an A10xxxxk or a newer a8 with at least 6gigs of ram for the system. The os you would use would be a debian based linux such as ubuntu, linux mint, or steam os.
