Greatly appreciate some advice on my new purchase. Thanks!!

Ok, so i bought this set-up from Cyberpower yesterday and have time to change things if needed. My main concern is matching up an appropriate motherboard with the processor. This is a very heavy rig for me and I don't want to plop down the doe if there is compatibility issues.

Does this motherboard match up well with the latest AMD chip (Phenom X4 9850 Black Edition Quad-Core)? See any issues with this build?

Please, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

With 04/28/2008 bios update that board will work with the 9850, yup.  However, it's not an AM2+ board, so you can't use the full FSB of the Phenom.  I doubt it will be a drastic difference, but you won't quite be using the full potential of that CPU.

There's an M2N board that supports more than 1000MHz Hyper Transport?Huh?

It certainly will support the 9850 with a bios update (which I never doubted), but I see nothing saying it'll run it above 1000MHz Hypertransport (aka 2000 MT/s).  Unless a bios update somehow allows that, but I haven't found anything.  I'm just saying a real AM2+ board will give slightly more performance, I don't mean to start an argument. ;-)

Sorry I thought MT was a typo! No you were right, and proved me wrong no harm done there.
