Who do you think will win the '08 election?

Obama is in the strongest position at the moment to become president. Judging from his popular support and delegate lead.

I think its unfortunate, we really had no good candidates this year. I'm more of a McCain man myself, but I doubt I'll vote since I don't like any of the candidates. We really need more then this two party system. Even if their were a decent third party candidate he/she wouldn't stand chance because the media only covers the two major parties.

This is my Sig. There are many like it but this one is mine.

I don't care for any of the candidates we are forced to choose from. The problem with these elections is that even if you initially find someone you think is worth voting for, by the time primaries come around they are gone. I would have voted for Dennis Kucinich, or Ron Paul if I had to choose a republican. I think John McCain looks like he has one foot in the grave and would be a disaster for the US. Hillary is about as honest as a used car salesman and I disagree with many of her policies, which I think have been dressed up to make her more appealing. Obama is really the only one I could stand to vote for. He is not my first choice by a long shot, but merely the lesser of three evils. The main problem I see with these elections, is that they have become more about who can get elected, rather than who should get elected.

Re: Who do you think will win the '08 election?

I am thinking Obama will get the nod for the simple fact that he is #1-younger/generally popular among younger voters #2-Democrat, I belive the U.S. is looking for change after having a republican-based government for the past decade or so #3-McCain is just old -- he will appeal to the hardcare conservatives and even has some liberal views which will get him a few votes from the democatic side -- albeit from the OLDER generation again.

IMO the young (40 and below) generation is going to make this election and I think they are going to go with a younger/"hipper" nominee for pres

Re: Who do you think will win the '08 election?

I'll be 21 in a few weeks, and I plan on voting for McCain... I'm not conservative (.. and neither is McCain, lol), but I just don't like the social policies both democrats offer (both are pretty much the same, healthcare, poverty, Iraq, etc... just represented by a younger and older generation)... I'd rather not vote based on the age of the candidate, rather, which one (since they all suck) share the majority of my views, hopes, and opinions on the issues I feel are most important to the success of our country. So i'm a youngin' staying away from the Dems :)

I just hope whoever is elected is smart enough to surround themself with smart people that are well qualified and open minded... from what i've noticed in previous successful presidencies, the CiC is smart enough to know that surrounding yourself with smart qualified people will provide good support to make "good" decisions and maintain economic and social prosperity :)

If you are going to create a new account after getting banned, you may want to consider not using your banned name in your new one. Apparantly you can't ban IP addresses, how unfortunate. Unless maybe he doesn't have a static IP, or is using a proxy.

Sorry for the off topic comment. In addition to my previous comment I would say I think Obama is the current front runner. I just hope the rumors of him and Hillary banding together on a joint ticket approach prove to be unfounded.

Well,my account was deleted without having a second chance to reply but I am not upset because the admins here are very understanding and they let me create another account.

The weird thing is that I see half a dozen forums where 20-30 news per day are submitted, with links that send you to other sites.

    Obama's Nasty Racist Pastor

Obama was T.K.O.'d (in my opinion) by the recent revelations of his 20-year relationship with racist pastor Jeremiah Wright. Wright seems to have a knack for mixing race and politics into his evil religious sermons. HERE is a very good newsclip that I submit for your viewing.
