I do hope this doesn&amp;#39;t presage a general loss of AMD competitivity in the GPU arena, such as we have unfortunately seen vis &amp;agrave; vis Intel in the CPU field....&lt;/p&gt;

I&amp;#39;d very much like to install an AMD card (not a 7970, but in any event something powerful enough to run a 2560 x 1600 monitor) in a newly completed build, but fear the well-documented problems that occur when running such a card. Thus my new card is, willy-nilly, going to be an NVIDIA....&lt;/p&gt;
