I never had many problems with ATI on the gaming side either. Also their prices cant be beat. For gaming, either one is great when paired with their perspective companion CPU's, (ATI/AMD-Nvidia/Intel)

What got me, is their response to their business practices and the correspondence with regards to the driver issues and other compatibility issues. Once they know that you have bought their product then that is it. Its kinda like, "you just got played, thanks for playing!" On the gaming side we all expect to go through a new GPU about every year and half. When you get a pro-card too actually make those games, you don't expect it to be incapable of running the current standard shader three months after you buy it? then have the company respond with "Thank you, come again!"

I know that Nvida really relies on the interaction with the pro-GPU market, which translates down to the gaming cards and truly understand that correlation. Kinda like how tech development on a Formula one car translated down to the consumer market, so keep your drivers happy and interact with any problems they encounter.

On many of my last posts, I have shown you guys what their responses were to some of the issues I faced within the viewports. Not much has changed since then. I feel since AMD took over ATI, they are now all aboot the flashy presentation rather than the customer and making the best product they can and standing behind that. This card is actually really good at playing games but as a workstation card, I have not noticed much difference. When they try to tout the capabilities of the workstation cards, all I see is scenes that are setup to look flashy and not High-poly HDR mapped real world uses being presented?

So yeah for gamers it is better to save a few bucks, so you can buy a new one next year. Everyone knows that my next card is going to be an Nvidia Quadro. I just thought it was funny to poke fun at their little tagline, "to learn and better understand!" The irony was to much to resist :P

OK, I get it Joel.....You are a professional liberal blogger. Since your responses are always in regards to any negative discussions concerning liberals. We have fun discussing technology and entertainment hardware, any political jabs are done in jest. I have found that most on this site are very easy going and open to other thoughts and ideas, who do not go on the attack to those who don't think the same way they do. Like saying "you don't even read the posts!" without understanding that there may be a deeper thought process in the response that was given.

This is very political, since companies are saying, just because I sell you something...I can now track your habits and behavior! That is really a very typical liberal response. Everything is a political issue, either in govmnt or office/ family politics. Of course you didn't say anything about Neil talking about that crackhead Franken? Only those who use politics so aggressively are the ones who say its not about politics!

I understand the concept of positive and negative in more terms than just how it applies to liberty! If you want to compare Liberty like it is some form of positive and negative particle, then it is harder to distinguish its eigendistribution, unless you are that particle which seeks freedom. Then it is just a matter of your location! So yes, you can try and make yourself feel smarter by doubling up words and belittling others. Yet, if you understand attritionist liberty and pejorative liberty then you know nothing about liberty.

Or you can just start posting more about the fun tech and interesting articles that the guys put so much effort into here on Hot Hardware, instead of posting just to push a political agenda.

Havent been to BB for almost two years! Been learning to do more research and getting more for the money through online deals and waiting till the new tech comes out!

Hot Hardware has helped with that as well! I feel better knowing what is coming out two months down the road than waiting for the next Sunday add! :P

This seems to be aimed at studios with unlimited budgets!

It is a nice screen, yet it is also really thick. I bet it also runs hot.

In about a year, I am sure everyone who bought one will see similar models for less than $500. Then they will be saying to themselves,...I should have taken that european vacation instead:P

SO, what you are saying that you are going to keep watching all the other news channels and believe exactly what they tell you? It always amazes me how people follow the Dumbocrats just because they tell everyone how smart they are if they vote for them, yet they rely on those same people to be clueless about what they are actually doing! If Fox news is so wrong and racist, then tell me with all the video and evidence in the lefts own words, where they have been wrong? I only watch them because you get the full story and not worked into a lather over a bunch of lies. Much like that video of the Tea Party's where the guy was carrying a gun, and CNN and MSNBC were making it out to be a white supremacist who was racially charged. Only to pull back the video and find out that it was an African American there as security.

Like you I used to watch all the other channels and then figured out their lies and propaganda! That is all that it is, Goebbels like Propaganda hoping that they can scare the people into doing what they are told. Why is it that all the people who were calling Bush Hitler, now that the same tactics are being done by their own side, it is all OK?

I would have expected this type of rhetoric from the twenty somethings on this site. But as someone who would have known people who were in Vietnam and possibly hear stories from WWII. I thought you would have been more open minded? Remember in Logan's society you and I would have gone through last day ten years ago!

All msnbc does is repeat the exact tactics of the radicals in charge. There is no real news there! I spend more time on the History channel and take everything in stride. So I can make an informed decision on what is happening in the world. That's why they say if you don't know history then you are bound to repeat it. If everyone is so intent on repeating the history of Communism, Socialism and other oppressive failed societies. Then why don't they tell everyone and run on that platform! Instead, they use tactics like in South Park, where the Japanese were told that Dolphins and whales are the ones who bombed Nagasaki!

I am an American first, And I cant stand either side! If you want to know my views on politics then just watch more South Park. But when I turn on the other news channels and only get a 2sec clip that is made to look bad and racist. Then turn to Fox and get the full fifteen minutes of video. I will lean towards the one who presents the whole case! Politicians rely on Liberal guilt to get away with what ever they want. If they are actually public servants, then they should not be making any money off of it!

And yes, the Republicans had many plans. They just didn't put it in a 2000 page bill and tell everyone to pass it and not read it! But I wouldn't have trusted them to do any actual repairs either. But if you only watch the left wing media then you don't get the whole story, you only get what they tell you. So I will keep posting on behalf of America! As Texans we should know better

Well, I think what they are tryin to do is hit the market like the other full DVD screen stereo systems out there. Most of them do run around 1K without GPS. this is still a small market that will only get your stereo stollen, much like the 26" gold spinner rims:P

At that price they should build in a tracking device within all components(rendering it impossible to change) of the hardware to prevent that, then it might be worth it. I would love to have something like this, but since I have a convertable. It is no where near worth having it in the car. The top replacement price alone is the same as this unit.

nowadays it is probably cheaper to have an Ipod or EVO with a pico projector for those long road trips. Then you can just watch movies on the windshield
