Thanks for the heads-up, Ray ! Perhaps I'm no longer limited to NVidia cards and can now consider replacing my ancient GeForce 7900 GTX with a Radeon model ! As noted in Ray's article, this new driver is said to work with Ubuntu 12.10 - anybody here know if it also works with 12.04 LTS ?...

Marco, I note that here, as usual when it comes to graphic-card tests, it seems to be the case that a monitor with a 16:10 format - at 1920 x 1200 pixels and 2560 x 1600 pixels, respectively - has been used. I haven't, however, been able to find any information on just which monitor was was chosen (my apologies if I've missed the relevant passage) for these (and other) tests. Would it be possivle to divulge this (for me, at least) intereting piece of nformation ?...

Ok, so I am in the middle of deciding between this Amd fx 8350 processor and the Intel® Core™ i7 3970X Six-core 3.5GHz/4.0GHz Turbo 15MB L3 Cache w/ HyperThreading. I have been asking a lot of people for their opinion and really want to know, which processor will preform better? Can someone please tell me which processor has better performance? Thanks.

Wondering before I spend money if I got it at Christmas for AMD Peformance 16gb DDR3 memory sticks at Christmas, would it be worthwhile with my AMD APU A6-3620 PC? Plus it's Retail HP P6-2133W PC, so researching things before I decide if really gonna upgrade memory to full 16gbs the motherboard supports

I did everything you told me update the BIOS of my Gigabyte UD5, so the latest version F10. then install the new memory Mentioned above.

BUT THERE ON MEMORY AGAINST.

WORK THAT NO ONE THAT I WANT TO Frequency 1866MHz. THE SET AND NOW HE ANYWAY only work at 1600MHz. MESSAGE AND SHOWS My BIOS SAYS: overclocking failed.

but in the list of reports that are present with the frequency to 1866MHz, I am not convinced I see a little generic. so eh seen some other of the aforementioned chew.
