The 700 series is coming fast and furious !

Leaked info: recently both the GTX 780 and GTX 770 made their visual debut via the Chinese website.

As
you can see both the graphics cards utilize the Titan visual design,
but surprisingly they sport different GPUs. The GeForce GTX 770 is
rumored to be based on a GPU similar to the GK-104 architecture and
comes with 1,536 CUDA cores, and a 256-bit wide GDDR5 memory interface.
This makes it essentially the same as the GeForce GTX 680, but it will
have a refined architecture, which should allow it to consume less power
and possibly run slightly faster.

The
GeForce GTX 780 on the other hand is rumored to be slightly slower than
Titan, as it effectively has less SMX units enabled in the GK-110 core.
In total the GTX 780 appears to have 13 of the 15 SMX units enabled,
which gives it 2496 CUDA cores. That is a lot of processing power, and
it could give it a hefty price tag. Our best guess would be that this
card will retail around $799 at launch, and the GTX 770 will fill the
$499 price point.

Re: Rating Unlisted Games for Nvidia 3D Vision

Next Episode is Live; a preview of how Slender: The Eight Pages performs!

Re: Rating Unlisted Games for Nvidia 3D Vision

3D games are, but not every game is listed (Popular Indie-Games especially), as that requires a little
driver tweakery. And there are many unlisted games out there that
perform beautifully in 3D and should at least be recognized for it's
fantastic compatibility. So, I'm starting a new YouTube series that
brings these games to your attention and I'll need your help to suggest
more games to review in the future as well as correcting me for my
mistakes and shortfalls.

The first episode is live, the next reviews will come in the following weeks. My Current list of Reviews to come are as follows:

Bet on Soldier Series - (Please visit the site to view this media)

Kerbal Space Program - Next Week

Slender: The Arrival - Following Week

If you have more suggestions for any games I should review, please list them. And if you watch the
first few episodes, please let me know about any changes or improvements
I should make to the series.

Nice to know that a GPU upgrade does, in practice, make so great a difference even when other components aren't the absolutely latest and greatest. Relevant for me, as a little more than a year ago I upgraded my main box with a GA-990FXA-UD3 motherboard, a Phenom II X 4 955 processor, a FSP650-80EGN PSU, and 16 GB RAM, but retained an ancient GeForce 7900 GTX GPU. I've been looking for a good deal on a GTX 660, but now that AMD has released a driver that seems to work decently with Linux OSs, I'm thinking of widening my search. Good to learn that such an upgrade would have significant (positive) effects !...

Currently I have 550 Ti in SLI and I'm sick of having to disable SLI for particular games to run correctly and vise versa. I have been told by many people that both of my 550's are equivalent to a 570. I figure I'd ask here if this is true or not and if so; would it be best to grab a 670 instead? Basically what I'm asking is would it be best to buy a single x70 card and if so, which one, the 570 or the 670.

RE: Bug Fixing NVIDIA 304.51 Drivers For Linux Released

Wow - Linus Torvalds must have one of the most effective middle fingers in history ! Kudos to him and to the developers at Nvidia !...
