If the Vita did get home brew first thing to come would be emulators and that would mean PS Vita owners would have something to play on their device.

The hacker in question, graf chokolo, turned around and uploaded his Hypervisor Bible and all its secrets to the Internet. He also vowed to never stop hacking Sony's hypervisor until they killed him. He said he "will continue my HV reversing and bringing back PS3 Linux which you took from us". I like this guy.

Here's what he had to say after the raid:

Back I don’t have a PC at home now guys, so i will post here only when i’m able. I will try to answer all your questions about HV and installing Linux. But expect some delays because as i said i don’t have access to the Internet all the time.

You know guys, you will say i’m totally crazy now, but i never slept better

The SONY’s laywer asked me why i’m doing what i’m doing, because of my hatred for SONY ? He cannot understand why i’m doing it, because he is paid for what he does. I’m not. I don’t hold a grudge against SONY even now Hatred clouds your mind, keeps you from more important things. I have a better use for my mind and knowledge

So, SONY you failed again, you took my equipment but my mind is still free and you canot control it. You failed again. They are just tools, i can get new ones and will continue my HV reversing and bringing back PS3 Linux which you took from us. If you want me to stop then you should just kill me because i cannot live without programming, HV and Linux kernel hacking You know who am i and where i live, so come and get me !!!

And to prove it, i will reopen right now my HV reverse engineering page And i will post my latest findings about Update Manager and BD drive here. Most of you know already that i was able to update CORE OS from Linux. And on the last weekend i tries to hel some PS3 devs with BD drive authentication and discovered some interesting stuff about it which i will post here.

And please guys, could someone post here a link to the latest version of my cloned Linux kernel. I need it. The last week i implemnted a updater for Linux and it was finished but the police got first before i could upload it. But do not fear, i have everything in my head I can write it down again and show you how it works.

Oh, don't get me wrong: I don't condone piracy. I was just pointing out the lie that copyright owners continually spread as "education" to the masses.

The real problem with what Sony's doing is that they're banning people simply for having homebrew apps installed. If I can write a program, sign it, and run it on my own PS3 - why should I be banned for that? It's exactly what everyone used to be able to do before they removed the OtherOS function.

PSP completely cracked too!

As a result of the PS3 crack, it looks like Mathieulh has found the master PSP keys as well. His twitter links to a spreadsheet with all the keys.

Sony pissed-off the wrong Linux fanboys.

If they are made in China,...and China gets the midnight shift to make double the production and sells them to a seperate market. They are not really counterfeit,....thay are just black marketed

Thats why the Chinese workers have to get hooked on meth and work around the clock so they can over produce and bring down the capitalist market

I own both systems (and the Wii), and I do not look forward to any day when Microsoft might run the other hardware manufacturers out of business.

In addition to shoddy quality control (personal experience with a dead XBox DVD and a RROD 360). Microsoft knows people will still buy their product, even when they add restrictions that reduce user choice. No, I'm not talking about more Windows DRM....

Microsoft's upcoming update will lock out unofficial storage devices. While Sony freely allows their users to use any storage device they please - external USB drives or even internal replacements, MS is introducing a new "feature" that will lock out all 3rd party storage devices from companies that aren't paying licensing fees to MS.

If you own a Datel or other 3rd party memory card, copy any important data to a "genuine Microsoft" card quick.

That said, I'm not totally pleased with Sony either. I've said before that the slim is a downgrade from older PS3's, and I stick by that. I don't think either one of them has a clear advantage as a gaming platform, but I'd still put the PS3 just slightly ahead because it's also a blu-ray player.
