  • RE: Goldeneye Source

GOD I LOVE GOLDENEYE! I had almost ALL of the cheats on the game from playing so much. The Facility was the best. You had to beat that joint in 1:05 to get the cheat. It was TOUGH. I can't wait until this is released. I personally wasn't a huge fan of perfect dark. For some reason the graphics looked like something from a psx. I liked the fact that

  • RE: Unlocking weapons in bf2???

I've actually been researching this and trying to get this to work. Apparently, if you set your LAN server up to pull data from the Global Rank servers, you can allow global unlock. The only problem is, you have to have an Internet connection. I have been looking for a way to set up a LAN server to allow ALL players to have unlocked weapons, but you

  • RE: Load balancing on rails

Thanks Bothware. So all that mumbojumbo I read about SATA drives only needing 250mV was a crock? I'm actually pondering the idea of buying an AMD 64-bit system. I would definitely be getting a new power supply.

  • Load balancing on rails

I have a Thermaltake Silent PurePower Series 480W Power Supply (W0014) . It has 3x wires for peripherals/drives. Each wire has 3x 4-pin molex connectors, giving a total of 9x 4-pin molex connectors. I currently have 6x hard drives, 2xCD-ROM drives, and 4 fans. I was reading that SATA hard drives only require 250mV power compared to IDE which required

  • RE: router modem home networks

I think two separate devices would be best. I love integration, but for Internet/networking, I like separate devices. Also, most broadband ISPs provide the modem for a small fee per month. If the modem portion of a combo gateway went bad, you'd have to get a whole new gateway. If you have two separate boxes, the modem dies, get a new one! I'm Installer

  • router modem home networks

You can get modem/router combos, they are usually referred to as "Gateways". In my opinion, Motorola makes the best cable modem, and linksys makes the best router. Motorola has their own gateways, SBG900 (one port ethernet, and Wireless), and the SBG1000 (5 port ethernet and wireless). I personally like to do two separate devices because it can be two

  • RE: Where 2 Put the Network Panel?

From the description on the site, it looks like it might be stranded: "If you're tired of paying top dollar for individual Cat. 6 cables, save money by making your own starting with 1000-ft. of FastMedia" Cat. 6 UTP cable" Did you get the cable yet? I know you purchased it, but do you have in posession? You could take the end, remove a few inches of

  • Where 2 Put the Network Panel?

$1000 does seem kind of high to install some Cat6 and speakers. I've never done ceiling speakers but I'm sure it's the same as running any other cable. I personally would prefer the distribution box in the basement. A father of a friend has his in their walkin closet on the 3rd floor. Do you know where service is going to enter your house (Internet
