  • Nothing Is Wrong With Crucial.....

    I am looking for memory myself and was wondering what the best memory for the KT266A mobo was. Not that anything is wrong with it. I know that Crucial is a division of Micron. So I was trying to see what the difference between Crucial & Micron (Performance wise). Also heard of Nanya, Mushkin, & Corsair and I dont know the differences in the performance

  • From what I understand, Yes! I also bought the Athlon 1800+ with a Antex 635 Case/Power supply(350). The only thing I'm waiting for is my mobo and memory. The CPU shop here in San Antonio said it would be plenty (They build their Athlon 1800's with a 300w power supply.) Also, I checked it out before I bought it on SEVERAL sites and they pretty much

    Can anyone tell me the difference between the Micron DDR PC2100 and the Crucial DDR PC2100? I know that Crucial is a division of Micron. Is one better than the other? Whats the deal? Is it the BEST memory out there for the KT266A? I saw on the AMD site that the Micron memory is AMD approved. Why is Crucial not? Also, Ive heard of others like Nanya,

    OK I understand that it supports the 1.4 Athlon but on the ASUS website it says nothing about supporting the new XP 1800+. Or am I missing something. Take me to school. Thanks TamsR

    Correct me if Im wrong but the fastest chip you can put on it is: "Supports Socket A (462) AMD Athlon XP/Athlon/Duron processors up to 1.4GHz+" :confused: (From ASUS site) But then I checked AMD's Recommended MOBOs and it said it will support up to a XP 1800+ :confused: Also Checked a few Retailers to get the scoop and their SPECS were the same as ASUS
