Well, I pulled my processor totally out of the PC and off of the motherboard, did the good 'ole smell test to see if I somehow burned the chip to kingdom come. Smell test passed. I then cleaned the Artic Silver II off of the core and from what I can tell, the core looks fine (not cracked). I am going to call the place I got it and get them to send me

Thats what I'm worried about Point. But I was pretty careful putting my heatsink on. Anyway I can check to see if I cracked the core? Right now I can't tell because of the thin layer of artic silver on the CPU core. I've tried the RAM, I will try and clear the BIOS.

Ok guys and gals, need some help here. Got my new PC as described in the gen. forums. So far I have in my hands my Mobo, processor, ram, HD and powersupply. Just waiting on my heatsink, case, video card and a couple extra little misc things. bwahahahahaha!!!!!
