I would like some other suggestions and opinions. • Not Detecting HD in BIOS / Acer Laptop

Hi guys, A weird problem. Maybe it's just something small I'm missing but I can't get this to work at all. First I got the screen "no operating system". I thought it was just that - Windows needing to be reinstalled. Then I noticed the BIOS was not detecting the hard drive so I figured it was gone. I tested the hard drive 100%

  • Re: Wifi Booster - Reccomendations???

I've confirmed that he needs to def upgrade his gateway from the ISP. Currently he has a single band one, he needs a dual band. That would improve performance and wifi single between different wifi devices. Right or wrong?? To go with that, he needs a wifi booster so he can pick up the wifi in the basement. And preferably something with an ethernet

Hi These both seem good, though I've heard mixed reviews on the brand name. So I'm assuming the second one would be better? Basically what I'm looking for is a wifi booster like this that I can put in another part of the house. Just to confirm, I can plug an Ethernet cable into either one of these right? Once this is set up, even if I have

  • Wifi Booster - Reccomendations???

Hi My uncle is looking for a wifi range booster. Here is the deal: He has a 'gateway' modem (modem and wifi built in one) from the ISP. This box is located upstairs in the house and is hardwired to a mean machine gaming desktop (Which I built for my cousin :) ) They have a lot of electronics that need to be connected to the internet, including

  • Re: New Avast Version 8

I always go with avast and always recommend it. It seems to be much less boggy than the ol AVG. It's one of the better free solutions out there right now I believe. While it's a neat tool and a secure way of keeping it up to date, I actually don't like the software updater feature. Average users who don't understand things and don't

  • Re: Freezing. Can't find cause?

No blue screens. Just freezing. I can reformat with the windows disc not a hitch. But when I start to install drivers it crumbles. Seemingly. And using the built in recovery I think reformists the drive and installs windows fine but it fails when trying to install the drivers. It freezes. And I notice it tries to install drivers for hardware that isn't

It is odd. I have fixed hundreds and hundreds and hundreds, etc of computers and cell phone , other electronics. And this has been one of the worst I've dealt with. I can't do a thing with it. No matter what ibtrybnot how I don't, the damn thing just freezes. I will look into that. Although I have already had it on long enough to get into
